Our Napoletana sauce, is a classic, yet simple, tomato sauce prepared with Italian tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and lightly seasoned creating a light sauce. This sauce is ready to be use out of the pouch but is also the mother sauce for many other classic Italian sauces. Its use is not limited to Italian food. Use it in any dish needing an amazing tomato sauce.

Ingredients

Tomato, Onion, Extra virgin olive oil, Salt, Garlic, Water, Sugar, Modified corn starch, Herbs, Spices.

 

Preparation

Boiling

Place the bag in a sauce pot in cold water and brig to a boil and use as needed as a whole bag or portioned

Saute

Stove top: Pour the thawed sauce into a saucepan stirring at low heat until temperature reaches 72°C.

Microwave

Microwave: Microwave the thawed sauce until the sauce reaches 72°C. Heating times may vary between microwave ovens.

Handling instructions

Defrost sealed bag in refrigerator between 2-4 °C (36-39 °F) a minimum of 24 hours before use . Do not overlap bags. Once thawed, and kept below 4° Celsius in the sealed bag, the sauce will have 45 days shelf-life . Further freezing/thawing cycles are not suggested. Once the sauce bag has been open the residual product inside can only stand 3 days in a fridge between 2-4°C (36-39 °F)
